We made it to the mountains yesterday and we're not going to lie, it felt really good being back!!! But...

...It's not always easy or picture perfect, but we reckon it's always worth it.

See that second picture there? That was towards the end of our walk. We'd set out to go only as far as I could except what we didn't realise would happen is that with one whiff of mountain air i would turn in to some sort of crazed greedy duracell bunny, wanting to see more more more and go further and further...

So 2.5km in to the walk, I stop and take a breather but my hip is beginning to hurt. We decide to turn back and head towards the van, at which point our son notices a blister on his foot... at which point Keith starts getting dizzy from spinning back and forth sorting out socks, finding painkillers and dishing out custard creams like there's no tomorrow!

The only one not doing any drama was our 6 week old who slept through it all!

We still reckon it was worth every minute even if it wasn't easy!
